The Foundation

Introduction

The Queens General Hospital Foundation was created in 1988 when changes in the health care system saw the governance of hospitals in Nova Scotia move away from community-based boards of directors. Its intent at that time was continued financial support for Queens General Hospital.

The Foundation's purpose continues to be support for Queens General, as well as any community health organization or health care facility within Queens County, providing health care services to and/or improving the health of Queens County residents.
