Eight years ago, English-Canadian artist David Wright moved to Liverpool from Ontario. After hearing from his friend about the outstanding hospital in the community, David knew he wanted to do something to give back. In the hopes of creating a more enjoyable hospital environment for patients, staff and visitors, David has proudly donated two of his paintings to the Queens General Hospital, with the help of Dr. Doucet, Chair of the Queens General Hospital Foundation.
“We’re fortunate to have such a great community hospital here in Queens County; in fact, I’ve never seen anything else quite like it,” says David. “I hope that my artwork can bring some form of joy to staff, patients and families at the hospital, and I encourage others to lend their support, however they can. We all benefit from this hospital, and from belonging to this community.”
