Giving back to their communities has always been important to Mike Boudreau and Margie Burns. For years, they’ve made donations to charitable organizations that supported the communities where they lived across Canada.
When Mike retired in 2008, the couple moved back to his home community of Liverpool, Nova Scotia and were introduced to the Queens General Hospital Foundation.
“When we first moved back to Liverpool, I met with an old school friend for lunch who told me about the Queens General Hospital Foundation,” said Mike. “We’ve been supporting the foundation ever since that conversation. We support the Foundation because the hospital provides so many essential services to people in our community. We are so pleased to play a role in helping them continue to provide our community with the great care we need.”
In addition to the Queens General Hospital Foundation, Mike and Margie support five other charitable organizations.
“We regularly donate to these organizations and help whenever we can,” said Mike. “We’re always here to lend a helping hand, whether that be a donation, financial advice, or help with renovations.”
